With the slogan, “Let us embrace the silent wonder of the night sky,” Telescope Bangladesh is moving forward with everyone’s support and participation. Telescope Bangladesh is essentially a gathering place for space enthusiasts. The group’s primary goal is to spark and nurture interest in astronomy, so that this curiosity and knowledge can be passed down from one generation to the next.

Continuing that mission, Telescope Bangladesh is organising a special event dedicated to exploring and understanding the night sky.

To mark the Great Victory Day holiday, we have chosen December 16 and 17, 2022 (Friday night), for a stargazing event, from 5:00 PM until 10:00 AM the following morning. The program will take place at Base Camp Resort, near Dhaka.

The event, titled “Stories of the Bright Stars,” is open to everyone. School, college, and university students, as well as anyone interested, are welcome to join the camp. During the program, we will use various instruments to identify stars and constellations. We will also learn their names and explore the mythology behind those names.

Purpose of the Event:

The main objective of this sky observation camp is to help participants recognize the night sky through real-life experience, increase interest in astronomy, and spread awareness about space. The active participation and enthusiasm of attendees are what make this event truly successful. Telescope Bangladesh believes that the curiosity we inspire today will spread knowledge and inspiration among future generations.
